I know I haven't used the journal for a very long time, I guess I don't like to write about me and my life very much, mainly because I would hate to become one of those people who post every single detail about what they do throughout the day, what they eat, who they meet, etc. Some people might enjoy to share everything and I guess that works for them but it isn't my style.

But since it's a new year already I guess I should at least post something about last year and my goals for 2012 or something... Anyway, last year was pretty good overall, I met new people, learned new things and got a better job, which was one of my goals for 2011. Ironically getting a better job for me wasn't as great as I thought it would be, because although it meant more money and more capability to buy cool stuff, it also meant a lot more hours working (I usually work now for 10 or 13 hours daily), less sleep, less time to have a social life, having to do something that's not even close to what I studied and less time to do anything remotely artistic (that obviously includes cosplaying and modeling). I hate to be one of those stereotypes since I can't say I hate my job, but let's just say that it's not something that I would see myself doing for the rest of life.

And I don't want to complain either, to me my current job is just the mean to an end, since my goal is making a masters course in special effects and to accomplish that I would not only have to pay for the course, but I would also have to move to L.A. which of course requires even more money. So basically I've been working my butt off to save as much money as I can to pursue my dream career (yeah, I know that sounds super cliché). And if everything turns out as planned I should be able to do it by the middle of this New Year.

Because of the lack of time last year hasn't been very artistically productive for me, as you guys have probably noticed. I have fabrics and materials for at least five new cosplays (the advantages of more money) but not the time to complete a single one of them, that's why this year I'll try to push myself to create and upload more new stuff and I guess I'm just telling you guys to force my lazy ass to keep the promise.



Anyway this is turning out to be a very long and personal journal (which is what I initially said I hate), so let me wrap it up by saying that I really hope you guys had a great time during the festivities and that I hope this new year brings you great things.
